My pregnant partner came in with quite severe pain in her chest and she wasn’t even prioritised as a high risk patient when in my personal opinion she should of been and 6 hours later we’re finally seen just to be given a prescription it’s a diabolical effort from hospital staff

The team in ACU were professional, friendly and excellent. I was supported and cared for by Samuel Whitworth, who I found to be very though and ensured I receive all the procedures to deal with my ill health. Samual was friendly, caring and explained everything in a way I understood. I also was offered a sandwich and drinks throughout the day when I was there. Thank you Samuel and the ACU team. Samuel you are a credit to the nursing profession and to DRI.

Most of the staff were friendly, caring and professional especially Michelle who had a great disposition and a lovely personality.

I thought most of the procedures and care taking was robustly delivered although on a personal note I would have liked my teeth palettes to have been accessible when in recovery room, for my own dignity and mental welfare.

Because I was difficult to canulate they couldn't be bothered to admit me my heart was 150bm BP 150/60 I had confusion because I had high glucose so I kept getting trapped in places if they put me in a bed on watch this wouldn't have happened

They could've sent me for a scan of my pancreas kept up with pain relief understand me when I say I can't keep nothug down om still being sick now but what's the point of coming into hospital if ur not gonna get treatment

I was made to feel like I shouldn’t have been in a&e with my injury and was told that my ankle was sprained and to just get on with it. I wasn’t offered any pain relief or aspirin to try to avoid blood clots with me being not as mobile. I was told that I need to weight bare straight away. It was still extremely painful and getting more swollen as time went on. So after speaking to 111 I was advised to go back to a&e to get a second opinion which I did. This time I attended Bassetlaw and I was seen by a lovely dr and given aspirin and a walking boot to help me mobilise. The dr also said that it was the worst sprain he has seen in a long time.

Been more attentive to my pain levels and gave me more information about my injury.
